Regulatory detail and operational conditions
Exceeding in four of the seven quality areas, and earned by the operator that runs the service now, in place since September 2021. The earlier Meeting result from December 2018 belongs to a previous provider.
Regulatory visit July 2026: Zero enforcement actions in the past two years
This 102-place service sits on Cranbourne Road, on the boundary between Narre Warren South and its parent suburb, and runs nursery, toddler and kindergarten rooms alongside before and after school care. It is part of a national group of more than a hundred services, so there is a central enquiry line, but the number published on the register reaches the centre itself, which is worth knowing when you are chasing a tour date. The building carried a different brand until a few years ago; the approval, the address and the rating history all belong to the same service.
Its September 2023 assessment returned Exceeding overall, with children's health and safety, staffing arrangements, collaborative partnerships and governance and leadership all placed above the standard, and the remaining three areas at Meeting. The detail that matters most here is the timing. The current approval holder took the service over in September 2021, two years before that assessment, so the result describes the operation a family would be enrolling into today. Before that the service held Meeting, from December 2018, under a different provider and a different trading name.
The daily rate runs from $172.80 for the youngest room down to $170.70 from 36 months, and seven items sit inside it: breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, other meals, nappies and transport. Transport is unusual on these register lists and is the one thing this fee covers that neither other ranked centre includes, though it is only worth counting if your family would use it. The educational program and excursions are not itemised, which is the reverse of the pattern at Twinklekids, so the two lists are close to a straight swap rather than one being fuller.
Hours are 6:30am to 6:30pm on weekdays, matching the centre ranked second and beating the third by nothing at all, since all three keep the same twelve-hour day. When the register was read, casual and permanent places were showing Monday to Friday across all four age bands, which in this suburb is the exception rather than the rule and suggests the list is moving. The service also carries outside school hours and vacation care approvals, so a family with an older sibling can keep both children on one site.
What parents say
Picking between the first two turns on whose record you are actually reading. Twinklekids has the better rating on paper, five areas to this centre's four, and it is about $20 a day cheaper. But that rating was issued in October 2023 to an operator that left in May 2026, so it describes a service under different management. Busy Bees earned its Exceeding under the people running it now, and it holds 25 reviews against six. That is why it leads. If you weight the fee saving and the extra area more heavily than who earned the result, the order is arguable, and we say so on the card below rather than hiding it.
Best for: Parents who want an above-standard rating that belongs to the team running the centre today, with places open across every room.
