Guardian Truganina Childcare and Education operates from a purpose-built centre on Clearwood Drive, licensed for 126 places, and has run under Guardian since November 2021. Guardian is a national early learning group with services across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, the ACT and South Australia. The Truganina centre is open from 6:30am to 6:30pm on weekdays and caters for children from six weeks to school age, with separate nursery, toddler and kindergarten rooms grouped by developmental stage.
The centre follows Guardian's play-based "To BE Me" program, which documents each child's progress through the Storypark app so families can follow the link between play and learning at home. A two-year kindergarten pathway, branded "Flying Start to School", is led by degree-qualified teachers and is designed to prepare children for the transition to school. Alongside the core program, children take part in cooking classes, a sustainability program, a reading program and the ELLA language-learning program across the kindergarten rooms.
Outdoor learning is a feature of the site, with a sandpit, bike track and vegetable garden, and the indoor rooms are arranged to bring natural light into each space. Guardian is our first pick in Truganina because it pairs a recent, solid regulatory result with the most complete program in the suburb. The January 2025 assessment returned Meeting overall and Exceeding in two quality areas, and the daily fee folds in meals, nappies and incursions that families often pay extra for elsewhere. The two-year Flying Start kindergarten pathway and the breadth of add-on programs, from ELLA language to cooking and yoga, suit families who want structure and inclusions in one place. It is also the most reviewed centre in Truganina, with a 4.9 average across more than one hundred parent reviews.
Truganina YMCA Early Learning Centre sits on Federation Boulevard next to Truganina South Primary School and is operated by YMCA Victoria, a not-for-profit provider. The centre is licensed for 80 places and accepts children from six weeks to school age across nursery, toddler and kindergarten rooms. It is open from 6:30am to 6:30pm on weekdays. At its most recent assessment in July 2023 it was rated Exceeding National Quality Standard, with five of the seven quality areas rated Exceeding, making it the only Exceeding-rated long day care centre in Truganina.
The program is play-based and built around dedicated STEM, music and language areas, with a vegetable garden used to teach children about sustainability. Funded three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten programs run within long day care hours and are led by bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers, which gives families a kindergarten option without a separate enrolment. The YMCA earns the second spot on the strength of its regulatory record: it is the only centre in Truganina rated Exceeding, and it carries that result across five of seven quality areas. The not-for-profit model, the funded three and four-year-old kindergarten, and the STEM and sustainability focus give it a distinct, education-led character. Parent reviews are more mixed than Guardian's or Greenfield's at 4.4 on Google, so we recommend touring in person and asking about recent program changes alongside the Exceeding result. For families who put the NQS rating first, it is the clear choice.

Greenfield Early Learning Centre operates from a modern, fully air-conditioned building on Mala Street and is licensed for 120 places. It is run by Junior Stars Pty Ltd, an independent operator with a second centre at Brookfield, and has been under the current provider since March 2024. The centre is open from 6:30am to 6:30pm on weekdays and takes children from six weeks through to preschool across six rooms named Cotton, Maple, Oak, Pine, Olive and Sweetgum. On-site parking is available for drop-off and pick-up.
Greenfield's main point of difference is its curriculum. The centre follows the HighScope active-learning approach, in which children build knowledge through hands-on play and interaction with their environment, events and other people, supported by interest-based play spaces. The infant and toddler program covers six content areas, expanding to eight for preschoolers with the addition of mathematics, science and technology, and social studies. A school-readiness program runs for older children, and a government-approved three and four-year-old kindergarten program is offered on site.
Meals are prepared by an in-house qualified chef on a rotating, nutritionally balanced menu, with allergy-friendly and Halal options available, and nappies, wipes, a sun hat, sunscreen and meals are included in the daily fee. At $135.00 a day for the infant room, Greenfield has the lowest headline fee among the three ranked centres, with lower rates again for children over twelve months. It holds a Meeting NQS rating from March 2025, with all seven quality areas rated Meeting, and a 5.0 average across its parent reviews.

Truganina sits within the City of Wyndham, one of the fastest-growing local government areas in Australia. Postcode 3029 has eleven long day care centres, with an average daily fee of about $156 before the Child Care Subsidy. Because 3029 is shared with neighbouring Tarneit, confirm a centre's street address when you compare options.
All three ranked centres are CCS approved. Most Australian families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, which is means-tested on your combined family income, your recognised activity hours and the type of care your child attends. Eligible families can have up to 90 per cent of their fees subsidised.
Victoria's funded kindergarten program provides up to 15 hours a week of kinder for eligible three and four-year-olds. Guardian Truganina and the Truganina YMCA both run funded kindergarten within their long day care programs, and Greenfield offers a government-approved kindergarten program.
