Bridge Road Early Learning Centre is a family-owned, independently operated centre that has held Exceeding NQS status since 2018, reconfirmed in May 2024. It's one of very few centres in Richmond to consistently achieve this rating across back-to-back assessments.

The centre offers 3 and 4 year old government-funded kindergarten programs delivered by Early Childhood Teachers, a bush kinder program on Fridays, and is open over Christmas and New Year, a genuine advantage for working families.

With only 60 places, it maintains an intimate atmosphere that parents consistently praise.

What parents say

We've loved our time at BRELC. The educators and management are warm, accommodating and understanding, and the whole place has a really lovely, homey vibe. Even in a short time, my child adjusted quickly and absolutely adored the kinder program, especially bush kinder on Fridays. We're only leaving because we're moving houses, otherwise we would have definitely stayed.

CareForKids review via CareForKids

It's taken me far too long to write this review but I wanted to make sure I took the time to accurately explain just how amazing this centre is. We came to Bridge Road with our boys who were 1 and 3 at the time, after a not so ideal experience at a previous local centre. They blew all of my expectations - the care they have for each individual child is truly the most magical thing I have witnessed. My son Miller has a speech delay and it was handled like it was a normal part of the education process. He was never made to feel inadequate or different.

Despite its size (121 children), parents consistently describe a personal, community feel: the in-house chef knows every child by name, and the centre director Paras is actively involved and responsive.

The centre features bright learning hubs with timber resources, an outdoor bike track, cubbyhouse, and edible gardens. A fully funded 3 and 4 year old kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

Extra-curricular activities including chef-led culinary lessons, yoga, music, and language classes are all included in the daily fee.

What parents say

My son attended this daycare from around 12 months old until 23 months old before we relocated overseas. I initially wanted to send him to a smaller community daycare but was very underwhelmed after touring several in the area. I decided to try Greenleaves and instantly fell in love with the bright, large, open spaces. All the staff, including the chef, knew every child by name.

CareForKids review via CareForKids

We have been really pleased with our experience so far. Our son started in the infant room last year and was welcomed with open arms from day one. The educators are knowledgeable, competent and so kind and caring with our son. Facilities are great, communication is consistent and clear with families and the centre has a lovely community vibe.

CareForKids review via CareForKids
Our take

Green Leaves is the best-reviewed centre in Richmond by volume, with 5.0 on CareForKids from 49 reviews and 4.9/5 parent rating from 50 reviews. At 121 places it's the largest of the three, yet parents consistently praise the personal touch. The all-inclusive $181/day fee covers an in-house chef, culinary lessons, yoga, music, and language classes. Ideal for families who want scale and extras without sacrificing community feel.

Best for: Families wanting modern, spacious facilities with an in-house chef, extensive extra-curricular inclusions, integrated kindergarten, and strong community feel despite the larger size.

Jane, CareForKids review via CareForKids

Best kinder ever! My son went from 'I don't wanna go to school' every day, to 'can I go to school on Sunday too?' Great staff with lots of patience and love. My son adores the educators there and he enjoys going to kinder every day. Best decision ever!
